JOB DESCRIPTION
Futurail seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to integrate and optimize localization, perception, and control systems on embedded hardware platforms. Your work will directly impact the real-time performance, safety, and scalability of our autonomous rail systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Optimize system performance , memory usage, and real-time responsiveness to meet stringent operational requirements.

Collaborate with hardware and application engineers to integrate perception, localization, and control components
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to the development of safety-critical applications.

Build and maintain low-level frameworks, interfaces, and infrastructure to accelerate embedded application development and testing.
REQUIREMENTS
-
5+ years of experience in embedded software engineering for real-time or safety-critical systems
-
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, Rust is a plus
-
Hands-on experience with hardware-level optimization, including CPU/GPU optimization and tools like TensorRT
-
Proficiency with board bring-up, device drivers, and cross-platform embedded support
-
Deep knowledge in Linux operating system internals

Experience with deployment and integration of safety-critical applications
-
Familiarity with sensor drivers, TCP/UDP/IP networking, and storage subsystems
-
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
